Eastside Eagles is excited to announce the 5th annual Eastside Eagles Instructional Football Camp.

Eastside Eagles’ Football staff has over 250 years combined experience. Why send your children to any other camp?

You have three camp choices. 1) Do Camp 1 on Saturday, May 16th. 2) Do Camp 2 on Sunday, May 17th.
Or, 3), Do both camps.

Camp 1: Saturday, May 21st 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, $25.00*
Camp 2: Sunday, May 22nd 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, $25.00*
Camps 1 & 2: $45.00*

Camp Highlights

Non-Contact Instruction
Running Form and Flexibility: Each athlete will learn the importance of proper running and stretching techniques.
Safety: The proper way to block & tackle will be emphasized.
Offensive and Defensive Drills: Every athlete will learn and experience drills according to his position that will make him a better football player.
Air Force Football: Games held the last half-hour of camp.

Coach Jim Madigan: Camp Director Defensive Line coach at De La Salle 2014 Division 2 State Champions.

Lance Long: Former wide receiver for the San Francisco ‘49ers, Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs & Detroit Lions.

Instruction by Position

Offense
QB • Special emphasis on passing, basic skills, handing off
BACKS • Blocking, faking, running the sweep, option handoffs & pass routes
LINE • Stance, base block, pass blocking, steps alignment, use of hands
ENDS • Pass catching, blocking & pass routes
Defense
BACKS • Stance, alignment, key responsibility, run support, option, sweep, & zone pass defense
LINEBACKERS • Stance, alignment & pursuit
LINE • Defense run, angle technique, pass rush
ENDS • Stance, alignment, option support, sweep, pass drops

VETERAN REGISTRATION:  Tuesday, February 2nd & 9th: 6:00-8:00 pm
Returning 2016 Eastside Eagles athletes & incoming siblings that completed the 2015 season in good standing. (Athletes that were compelled to leave the program in the case of illness or injury still qualify as Veteran)

OPEN REGISTRATION: Tuesday, February 23rd & Thursday February 25: 6:00-8:00 pm

LOCATION:  BRAC (Brother Robert Activity Center)8777 Common Road, Warren (between Van Dyke and Hoover; behind the Warren Police station) The age groups for eligible athletes as of August 1st, 2016 are:

Football Minimum & maximum weights also determine level of play for football:
Flag: Ages 6-8 - Ages 6 & 7 max weight of 120 lbs. Age 8 max weight of 80 lbs.
Freshman: Ages 8-10 - Ages 8 & 9 max weight of 135 lbs. Age 10 max weight of 100 lbs.
Jr. Varsity: Ages 9-11 - Ages 9, 10, & 11 max weight of 150 lbs. Age 12 max weight of 115 lbs.
Varsity: Ages 12-14* - Ages 10, 11, 12, & 13 max weight to carry ball 180 lbs.

Ages 10, 11, 12, & 13 max weight 181 to 215 lbs. to play on the offensive & defensive lines
Age 14 max weight180 and allowed only under the following conditions:
* They must have been on the roster for the same franchise the previous year * They must not be in High School & show proof they will be in 8th grade.

Cheerleading: 
Ages 5-13* by August 1st 2016 (*not entering 9th grade)

2016 Eastside Eagles Pricing 
$100 deposit for equipment, volunteering; $210 flag; $280 tackle; $190 cheer; $40 sibling discount

The 2016 Speed & Agility Training!

Attention Eastside Eagles!

We all know that champions are made in the offseason and all of the work in the Winter will show on the field in the Fall. Our Eagles family is fortunate to know several great programs that while not affiliated with our Organization we would strongly endorse. All camps will start in January but I wanted to get this information out to you soon to start your planning. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.

The Coach Nick & Staff Legacy

Coach Nick Sherevan's coaching history began in 1975. Since that time, he and his staff have accumulated 257 wins, 76 losses, and three ties at Warren, St. Anne.

His teams have won 25 divisional titles and have played 14 CYO Prep Bowl Championship games out of 29. These Silverdome/Ford Field appearances resulted in 6 wins/8 losses.

In 2003 Nick Sherevan received the CYO James Coughlin Award and in 2004 the CYO Shamrock Award - (CYO's highest honor) in his years as the Head Coach of Warren St. Anne.

In 2008, he was inducted into the MYAA Hall of Fame (Michigan Youth Athletic Association)

Players under his tutelage have been fortunate to have played for such an empowering coaching staff. Many of the coaches are Coach Nick alumni, and attribute their life success to what they have learned on the football field.

Coach Nick has dedicated his life to teaching and coaching the sport he loves, while developing football skills necessary for the next level of play; and helping to mould character and attitudes for life.
